Carpenter 1 Fire FAQ's

*Which areas & trails are open, and which are closed? Check the Conditions page, read the latest Forest Service Closure Order or call our Visitor Center with specific questions 702-872-5486

*Is flooding really a danger? Yes, the fire's debris will worsen flood dangers during this summer's monsoon storms, click here for more information.

*Is the forest ruined? Not at all. While there are some dramatic burn scars, many other areas remain lush. Read more about how fire is a natural part of a forest's ecology, what the BAER team is planning, or attend a Junior Ranger Program to learn more.
