#AnimaloftheWeek: Ash-throated Flycatcher (Myiarchus cinerascens)

These vocal birds are a common sight in both the desert valley and the upper woodlands of the Spring Mountains. Identifiable by their pale bellies and cinnamon tails, the muted colors of these birds help them to camouflage well with their environment. Ash-throated flycatchers do not need to drink water; they can get all the hydration they need from their diet, which is comprised of primarily insects, and some fruit.
