Lively Bewick’s wrens can be found in the canyons of the Spring Mountains. Their diet consists mainly of bugs and both the male and female wrens have striking white “eyebrows”. During breeding season male Bewick’s wrens sing from prominent perches. These songs vary by region, and are also used as their weapon of choice for territorial disputes. Rival serenaders will often face-off and compete using harsh calls and songs.

April 25th - Today is National Go Birding Day, which is a perfect holiday to celebrate from your own backyard.
