Event Details

About the Event
Join Nevada Department of Wildlife and Spring Mountains National Recreation Area staff on a bat walk-about to look and listen for our Nevada bats! We will be exploring the Spring Mountains Visitor Gateway and the immediate surrounding area and we will hopefully be able to identify and record some data! The program will meet at the Spring Mountains Visitor Center Entrance and we will move as a group to the close trails next to the building. PLEASE NOTE: This program is outside and will take place during dusk/dark. Please come prepared for chilly weather and to walk around outside. Bring close-toed shoes and water. This program is approximately 1 hour. Optional equipment can include guide books, flashlights, and binoculars; these will not be provided. Please register prior to attending the program as there will be a limited number of participants. Any questions can be directed to Jess Brooks at jdbrooks@ndow.org.
