Last year, Tropical Storm Hilary damaged many parts of the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area (SMNRA). This closed many popular trail and other recreation areas. Now, Forest Service is working tirelessly to survey the damages and get community members to help restore the area for all to enjoy once again. On August 9th, we are looking for 25 volunteers to work at Deer Creek Picnic Area and restore it to once again be a great spot for visitors at the SMNRA,
