Event Details

Sign up to be a part of our huge National Public Lands Day event on Saturday, September 25! Join hundreds of fellow volunteers helping to clean up the Spring Mountains and celebrate the 4th annual- and much needed -Green the Mountain trash and recycling program.

Over a million visitors rely on the Spring Mountains to escape the heat and noise of the Las Vegas valley each year. After 14 years of collecting over 50 TONS of litter in the Spring Mountains, the Go Mt Charleston Team has been working to find ways to manage the litter issue and help visitors dispose of their trash properly. Thanks to our fantastic sponsors, spearheaded by Heineken USA, many community businesses have made it possible for us to continue our programs throughout the pandemic, including the offering trash and pet waste stations at our busiest areas.

Volunteers will be assigned to a location for a morning of litter collection then treated to a goody bag full of swag at Lee Canyon’s new Bristlecone Room & Sky Deck, including tickets for a scenic chair ride and refreshments from our sponsors for a COVID-safe, socially distant post-cleanup celebration! Each adult volunteer must register below to participate. Parents, you will be RSVP’ing for yourself and anyone younger than 18 years. Detailed information for registered volunteers, including meeting location for your group, will be sent the week prior to the event (week of Sep 20) to the email provided at registration. Groups over 10 and corporate/community groups should contact volunteer@gomtcharleston.com to register. Registration closes 4pm Monday, September 20, and volunteers will receive their assignment and instructions Tuesday afternoon.
