Event Details

Rangers help protect our public lands in many different ways. Join an educator and learn how to practice proper hiking safety, follow outdoor ethics, and explore your environment just like a ranger.
Please come prepared with proper outdoor gear. This includes closed-toed shoes, comfortable clothes, and a hat. Please bring at least 1 liter of water per person. Sunscreen is recommended.
Meet at the Fletcher Canyon parking lot 10 minutes before the start of the program. This hike will take place along the Acastus Trail, going south toward the visitor center. This is a paved trail with gentle slopes up and down in elevation.
*Programs may be shortened or canceled because of heavy rain and lightning for staff and public safety. Our educator will make that determination before the start of the program.
