SUMMARY:Junior Ranger Program
DESCRIPTION:Rangers help protect our public lands in many different ways. J
 oin an educator and learn how to practice proper hiking safety\, follow ou
 tdoor ethics\, and explore your environment just like a ranger.\nPlease co
 me prepared with proper outdoor gear. This includes closed-toed shoes\, co
 mfortable clothes\, and a hat. Please bring at least 1 liter of water per 
 person. Sunscreen is recommended.\nMeet at the Spring Mountain Visitor Gat
 eway 10 minutes before the start of the program. This hike will take place
  along the Acastus Trail\, going west. This is a unpaved trail with gentle
  slopes up and down in elevation.\nParticipants will earn their Junior Ran
 ger badge for the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area.\n\n*Programs 
 may be shortened or canceled because of heavy rain and lightning for staff
  and public safety. Our educator will make that determination before the s
 tart of the program.\n*No registration is required for this program.
