Event Details

As the days get shorter and temperatures drop, animals in the Spring Mountains are getting ready for winter. Join an educator to learn how the animals of the Spring Mountains prepare for winter and how you can be prepared for winter as well.
Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the program. This is an easy hike around the visitor center. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable hiking clothes and close-toed shoes. Temperatures in the Spring Mountains can be 20-30 degrees cooler than the Las Vegas valley. Please bring 1 liter of water per person.
Participants will get a chance to earn their Spring Mountains Junior Ranger badge.
4th-grade participants will get a free Every Kid Outdoors pass which offers access to many of America’s public lands.
*Program may be shortened or canceled because of heavy rain, heavy snow, or lightning for staff and public safety. Our guide will make that determination before the start of the program.
*No registration is required for this program
