About the Event
Join Nevada Department of Wildlife and Spring Mountains National Recreation Area staff on a guided walk along the Acastus Trail! We will be exploring the trail, looking for signs of wildlife and common sights and sounds in the beautiful Spring Mountains.

We will be meeting at the Acastus Trail trailhead and strolling along the Acastus Trail over the course of approximately 1.5 hours. Please check the weather and come prepared with sturdy, close-toed shoes, water, and sun protection. Optional equipment can include guide books and binoculars; these will not be provided.

Registration for this event is required as there will be a limited number of participants. Please register by following this link.

Any questions can be directed to Jess Brooks at [email protected].

About the Location
The Acastus Trail is located at the Fletcher Canyon Trailhead parking lot next the bathrooms on the southern side of HWY 157 (Kyle Canyon Rd), just after the Spring Mountains Visitor Gateway and The Resort on Mount Charleston. The Acastus trail is a 1.5 mile (3 miles round trip) lightly trafficked out and back trail located in the Kyle Canyon area of the SMNRA. The starting point is paved and offers gentle slopes up and down in elevation, gradually leading onto gravel trails with beautiful views.
