About the Event

Join Spring Mountains National Recreation Area staff on a guided walk along the Sawmill trail. We will explore the trails, learn about the different life zones of the Spring Mountains, how the Spring Mountains were formed, and discover common wildlife in the area. This program is approximately 1 hour. Please check the weather, dress in layers, and come prepared with sturdy, close-toed shoes, water, and sun protection. Temperatures in the Spring Mountains can be 20-30 degrees cooler than in Las Vegas. This program is approximately one hour. This program will take place at the Sawmill trail located in Lee Canyon.

This program is for visitors of all ages.
Young participants will have a chance to earn their Spring Mountains Junior Ranger badge.
4th-grade participants will get a free Every Kid Outdoors pass which offers access to many of America’s public lands.
