About This Program
Winter is coming to the Spring Mountains but what happens to the animals on the mountain in the winter?
This year on Black Friday Opt Outside and join an educator on the Fletcher Canyon Trail to discover the adaptations that help animals survive winters in the Spring Mountains.
This program is for visitors of all ages and no registration is required.
Youth participants will get the opportunity to earn their Junior Ranger badge and 4th-grade participants will get the chance to acquire their Every Kids in the Outdoors pass.
About This Location
Meet at the Fletcher Canyon Trailhead 10 to 15 minutes before the start of this hike. The Fletcher Canyon Trail is located two miles west of the Spring Mountains Visitor Gateway. See our visitor-use map for more information.
This will be a moderate hike. Dress in layers as temperatures in the Spring Mountains can be 20-30 degrees cooler than in Las Vegas.
Bring one liter of water per person, a backpack, hiking poles, and snacks if desired.
