Utah Tech University (formerly Dixie State University) is excited to partner with Go Mt. Charleston! For this workshop series, we have booked a group campsite and space to hold workshops to help plan day trips all in one weekend, June 18 & 19. You can come for all of the workshops or just a few.
10:30am – 12:30pm: Trip Safety
We will cover how to prepare for a trip to make sure that you have what you need when the unexpected happens. We will review the 10+ essentials, but focus on handling medical information (or not) and building out a first aid kit that you get to take with you. We will also look over a variety of first aid kits on the market to help folks think about whether or not they need more for their groups and discuss what items often need to be added to commercial kits and how to obtain further training to keep you and your participants safe. This workshop will be in the Education Building next to the Spring Mountains Visitor Gateway.
