SUMMARY:Outdoor Recreation Leaders Program Classes 7-3-22
DESCRIPTION:Utah Tech University (formerly Dixie State University) is excit
ed to partner with Go Mt. Charleston! For this workshop series\, we have b
ooked a group campsite and space to hold workshops to help plan overnight
trips all in one weekend\, July 2 & 3. You can come for all of the worksho
ps or just a few (free\, registration below). \n\n10:30am: Trip Safety\nWe
will cover how to prepare for a trip to make sure that you have what you
need when the unexpected happens. We will review the 10+ essentials\, but
focus on handling medical information (or not) and building out a first ai
d kit that you get to take with you. We will also look over a variety of f
irst aid kits on the market to help folks think about whether or not they
need more for their groups and discuss what items often need to be added t
o commercial kits and how to obtain further training to keep you and your
participants safe. This workshop will be in the Education Building next to
the Spring Mountains Visitor Gateway.\n\nREGISTER HERE FOR PROGRAMS + FOO
