This free professional development training is open to teachers and non-formal educators interested in incorporating wildlife conservation concepts into their lesson plans. Educators who attend a Project WILD workshop will qualify for CU credits and receive the Project WILD curriculum & activity guide, containing over 80 activities focused on terrestrial habitats and wildlife (preview Project WILD Table of Contents).
Project WILD is a K-12 interdisciplinary conservation and environmental education program focused on wildlife. The goal of Project WILD is to assist students of any age in developing awareness, knowledge, skills, and commitment resulting in informed decisions, responsible behavior, and constructive actions concerning wildlife and the environment. * A portion of this workshop will take place outside. Please bring water, comfortable walking shoes and appropriate attire for the weather. Temperatures here are generally 15-25 degrees (F) cooler than the Las Vegas valley. *
