Event Details
Restoration is the process of restoring something to an unimpaired or improved condition. We often think of restoration in regards to art. However, similarly, we can restore a landscape after some disturbance event. This can include a severe fire or erosion and human impacts. Restoration projects on the Spring Mountains have aimed to bolster endemic butterfly habitat and our sensitive species, prevent the further degradation of trails, picnic areas, and revegetate and slow erosion after fires. Join Sarah Kapel, a Restoration Coordinator for the Great Basin Institute, to learn about her work and accomplishments that have been done across the Spring Mountains by the restoration team over the past three years.
