Event Details

About the Event
Join the Las Vegas Astronomical Society for a night of stargazing on Mount Charleston! The public can view the night sky through the telescopes of volunteer members of the Las Vegas Astronomical Society.
Chat with a representitive from The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District about summer reading challenges and library card sign-up. We’ll have snacks and drinks for sale along with retail items.
It may warm down in the Valley, but temperatures in the Spring Mountains can be 20-30 degrees cooler than in Las Vegas. Be sure to bring a jacket and warm layers. There will be a guest speaker for this event so chairs and blankets are welcome if desired. Flashlights with red light options are recommended to keep light pollution to a minimum.
Dogs are welcome but need to be on a leash at all times.
