Event Details

Are you looking to volunteer in the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area? We are always looking for ongoing volunteers interested in providing education on the forest, willing to provide directions and assistance to the public, and generally be a voice on Leave No Trace and showcasing the importance of conserving SMNRA for future recreationists.

If you’re unsure of what opportunities we have for volunteering, check out our Volunteer page to get some further ideas. This orientation will provide you with some insight into how the volunteer program works here in the Spring Mountains and introduce you to our Volunteer Coordinator, answer some questions you may have after reviewing the website, and maybe even inspire you to find a role that fits your schedule and passion, joining us to provide support and education to the public.

If you are interested and able to attend, please RSVP for the event. This orientation will take place over Microsoft Teams and the link will be sent to you over email.

If you are interested and cannot attend the orientation session, do not hesitate to email us at volunteer@gomtcharleston.com. We can work with your schedule.

*Volunteers must be 18 or older OR be accompanied by someone who is 18+ while out in the field.
