SUMMARY:Volunteer Invasive Species Removal Event
DESCRIPTION:\n\nWe support native wildlife on Mt. Charleston by removing in
vasive species that can take nutrients from the soil\, crowd native plants
\, and block native plants from sunlight. Mullein and Russian Thistle are
the plants we are after\, and we need a group of volunteers to help us rem
ove them. By removing invasive plants\, we make room for those who can sup
port the Spring Mountain National Recreation's endemic species\, like the
Mt. Charleston Blue Butterfly! \n\nThis volunteer event will be at the Lee
Canyon Pullout on August 9th. We are accepting 15 submissions for this vo
lunteer event. We will provide shovels\, clippers\, gloves\, and other equ
ipment needed to remove these plants. Please sign up through the form belo
w to participate in this volunteer event. Have questions? Email volunteer@
 gomt.charleston.com\n\nFill out my LGL Form!
