Last night, a sly gray fox was spotted on a local trail cam! Often confused with kit foxes who have larger ears and live down in desert environments, gray foxes live at higher elevations in forest woodlands, have smaller dog-like ears, and use their big bushy tail to keep warm at night. Despite being canines, gray foxes are often thought to be very cat-like because they are the only skilled dogs that can climb trees!
