Southern Nevada Conservancy, a 501c3 nonprofit organization based in Las Vegas, NV, works cooperatively with the US Forest Service, Department of Agriculture through a formal agreement to provide education, informational, and other public services that will add to visitors understanding and enjoyment of the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area. These programs include GO Mt Charleston programs, interpretive programming, volunteer management, retail operations, social media outreach, and this website.
Southern Nevada Conservancy is honored to work on and steward public lands across Nevada, which are the ancestral homelands of several Indigenous Peoples, including the Southern Paiute, Chemehuevi, and Western Shoshone peoples. We honor and respect the enduring connections that Indigenous communities have to this land and strive to support and collaborate with local tribes as an integral part of our mission.
The Spring Mountains Visitor Gateway is currently closed due to a Forest Order closure as roads are repaired after Tropical Storm Hilary.
Trails and Campgrounds are open 24 hours unless closed for seasonal or emergency conditions.
