We need all sorts of volunteers during our short but busy snow season. Email volunteer@gomtcharleston.com to sign up!
Snow Host
Help visitors have a fun snow play experience while reducing impacts to the forest environment by providing information about where to play, safe snow play practices, and facilitating participation in fun educational activities. Snow Hosts are provided training, a radio, first aid kits, and additional support to help visitors navigate the crowded snowplay areas during the very busy snowy season.
Education Volunteers
GO Mt Charleston programs often need a little help from volunteers, from staffing at an intepretive table, helping lead activities at the Spring Mountains Visitor Gateway, acting as a "tail" on our guided hikes, and many other opportunities thoughout the cold season.
Litter and Sled Trash Removal
Whether you are an individual that wants to help keep the Spring Mountains healthy or a family, group, or business looking for a community service project, we would love the help! We can typically accomodate a cleanup project Thursday through Monday, and we provide the tools. Weekend morning group cleanups must begin by 8AM in order to avoid road closures during the bery busy snow season.
