Your adventure starts here!
The Spring Mountains Visitor Gateway site is a destination in itself. This 128acre complex has reclaimed land from a golf course into public buildings, trails, exhibits, and more. Whether you just make a quick trip inside the Visitor Center for a map and a souvenir, or stay for a hike or program, make sure to stop at the Gateway!

Visitor Center
New technology and ancient wisdom have been merged to create a building that uses natural and sustainable energy sources to reduce its carbon footprint while offering an information desk, engaging exhibits, and a must-shop bookstore. The Visitor Center is open 9am-4pm, except for some holidays and during major weather events. Check the Calendar for details.

Pinion & Ponderosa Group Picnic Areas
Each of these side-by-side sites offer 40+ seating, dual charcoal grills, a large fire pit, a power outlet, lights, and sweeping views of Kyle Canyon. The sites can be reserved here from spring through fall, and winter rentals are on a first-come, first-served basis at the desk inside the Visitor Center at the Gateway.
